I am a technology journalist and technology enthusiast. You’d think this would give me a better understanding of what the metaverse represents. But as things stand, I don’t understand the tech industry’s desire to make the metaverse a thing. They are selling us this noble idea of a shared virtual reality without anyone knowing what it is.
