Meta consultant John Carmack, the digital pioneer behind the hit video game “Doom,” isn’t impressed with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s vision of the “metaverse.”

“There’s a lot I’m sulking about,” he said during “Carmack Unscripted,” a dedicated hour featured at Facebook’s Connect 2022 conference turned Meta earlier this week.

The consultant made the comments a few hours after the launch of Zuckerberg’s keynote presentation, in which the founder showcased the company’s latest developments in the virtual reality space.
