Barely a week after the news of the fight with Ethereum Classic, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has publicly stated that he is cutting ties with the XRP community.

Based on the conversation excerpted from his tweet, Charles seems to have been the main figure behind a ton of trolls associated with the XRP community.

As an outspoken critic of many projects, it seems that many XRP coin supporters have been taking their pound of meat from the legendary blockchain developer. According to his tweet, all the trolling may be coming to an end.

“I think I’ve blocked most of the XRP trolls who continue to harass without provocation. I’ve never seen a group so radically pick up a few words and follow them. Great job turning an ally into someone who is disgusted and totally unprotected,” he said .

While many support Charles’s actions, renowned XRP advocate XRPcryptowolf weighed in on the conversation, advising Charles not to stereotype an entire community based on the behavior of a select few. However, Charles seems unperturbed in his stance, asserting more;

“It’s not a few trolls. It’s been an endless bullying campaign for days. I’m done. I want nothing more to do with XRP. The community has achieved nothing but harming itself. Congratulations.”

Actions and reactions are often labeled balanced in what turns out to be an open industry. Charles previously seized the Twitter account that has served the Ethereum Classic community since 2016 and recently repurposed it for the Ergo Community. The account has over 600k followers, forcing the Ethereum Classic protocol to start building its community again.

Various industry observers disagreed with the events and how things unfolded, and for that reason, many may continue to come for Charles in ways he could not have foreseen.
