In the days leading up to the Quest Pro launch, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the new headset an “excellent work device,” possibly even a laptop replacement. Playing games in virtual reality is one thing, but socializing, living and working there? It seems that the broad consensus on the Internet is: “no thanks”.
But not me. I’m ready and excited to move my work life into VR, and from what we know so far, the Quest Pro may be the device that solves many of today’s problems with trying to do it on current generation hardware.
What’s better than a mouse?
Navigation is one of the main issues when trying to work in VR right now. The job requires being as efficient as possible, which isn’t exactly what you’d call today’s VR controls.
