Retail giant Walmart is taking its service into the metaverse, with two experiences on the Roblox gaming platform.

Featuring interactive content, games, Walmart said its two offerings are designed to bring its shopping “islands” to life for the virtual world, which has more than 52 million daily users.

The first experience, Walmart Land, features live music, fashion contests, Netflix trivia games, and “verch,” which is Walmart’s virtual merchandise.

Walmart said its second location called Universe of Play is the “ultimate toy destination,” with games offering tokens for players to earn virtual goods.
